Xero was founded in Wellington, New Zealand in 2006 by Ron Drury and Hamish Edwards. They created the company because they found desktop accounting software was outdated and created modern cloud based accounting. It is one of the top 20 companies on the New Zealand stock exchange and are listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. They have offices in London, Sydney, New York & Auckland.
